Hey there—I’m Emily! I’m currently at Primary Ventures leading investments in the next generation of transformational businesses. I mostly spend my time across fintech and b2b software.

In previous lives I’ve worn many different investing hats. Most recently, I was investing at Redpoint Ventures, a Bay Area fund that has backed the likes of Snowflake, Stripe, Twilio, and Ramp.

I started my career as a public markets investor at a hedge fund, Point72, before making the jump to the private markets to help build out their venture arm, P72 Ventures.

I love going deep learning about unsexy industries and finding the determined founders who are looking to shake up the (broken) status quo. I think best through writing and so have compiled some of my thoughts here.

Personally, I'm a global citizen having grown up across Indiana, Shanghai, and Beijing. Then I did the NYC → SF → NYC boomerang. Outside of work I love food (discovering new restaurants and cooking), fitness classes (currently partial to boxing and pilates), and am always looking for a new scifi series.
